Chapter 4 INFORMATION STAGE

Data to be collected

  • Physical Data - such as shape, dimensions, material, colour, weight, density, fire resistance
  • Methodology data - how it operated, constructed, fabricated, installed & replaced.
  • Performing data - concerning present performance requirements and actual performance needs in design, operation, maintenance, safety and utility
  • Restrictions- concerning methods, perfromance, procedures, operations, schedule and cost.
  • Cost data - including detailed breakdown costs of labour, materials and markups for both construction and other elements of life cycle costs.
  • Quantity data- relating to anticipitate volume or repetition of use for this project and future uses.
